John Cameron Fogerty is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist from the United States.
Fogerty co-founded the band Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) with Doug Clifford, Stu Cook, and his brother Tom Fogerty, for which he used to be the lead singer, lead guitarist, and predominant songwriter.
Between 1968 and 1972, CCR had 9 top-10 singles and eight gold albums, and he was once inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.
In 1959, whilst in junior high school, Fogerty shaped the Blue Velvets with bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford. The band was impressed through pioneers of rock and roll, specifically Little Richard and Bo Diddley. Fogerty’s brother Tom later joined the band.
