Lee Ann Remick is an American actress.

Early Life

Lee Ann Remick was born on December 14, 1935, in Quincy, Massachusetts. She used to be the daughter of Gertrude Margaret also an actress and Francis Edwin “Frank” Remick. He was once the proprietor of a departmental retailer. Eliza Duffield, maternal great-grandmother of Lee used to be a preacher in England.

Education

Lee Remick joined the Swaboda School of Dance, the Hewitt School and took up acting at Barnard College and the Actors Studio.

Career

Lee Remick began her performing career in 1957 that includes in Elia Kazan’s A Face in the Crowd. Remick came to limelight when she acted like a rape sufferer in Otto Preminger’s Anatomy of a Murder. She persevered her acting occupation during the years followed.

Lee Remick married Bill Colleran on August 3, 1957, and had two kids Katherine Lee Colleran (Jan.1, 1959) and Mathew Remick Colleran (June 7, 1961). The couple divorced in 1968.

Remick married William Roy “Kip” Gowans on December 18, 1970. Lee shifted to England to stay with him until dying. The couple stayed in England and Osterville, Massachusetts.

She had two grand kids thru her daughter Remick Rose Minelian (1993) and Georgia Lee Minelian (1997)

Death

Lee Remick died due to most cancers of the kidney and liver on July 2, 1991, on the age of 55 at her house in Los Angeles.
