Three cars collided in Gloucester County on Sunday afternoon, killing a man from Norfolk, consistent with Virginia State Police. VSP troopers spoke back to the collision on Route 17 (George Washington Memorial Highway) at Woods Cross Road simply prior to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
George Asbell, the driving force of a Nissan sedan, struck a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Davenport Road while travelling eastward and overlooked to yield at the junction, according to VSP’s investigation. The motorbike was riding on Route 17 heading north.
According to troopers, the motorcyclist then struck a Chevrolet sedan travelling west on Woods Cross Road at Route 17 that was once halted at a prevent sign.
After being flung off the motorcycle, Jack John Russo, Jr., 68, and his passenger, Angela Marie Russo, 56, had been transported to Riverside Regional Hospital with critical accidents.
According to soldiers, Jack John Russo, Jr. passed away in the clinic from his wounds.
Christine Cormier, 42, the driving force of the Chevrolet sedan, escaped damage from the collision.
Asbell faces charges associated with careless using.
Although the cause of the crash continues to be being investigated, VSP soldiers stated that neither speed nor alcohol had a role in the collision.
