EX-NFL star Keyshawn Johnson has introduced the death of his daughter Maia aged just 25.
The former star huge receiver, 48, mentioned his family had been left "heartbroken" by means of Maia's death.


Johnson wrote on Twitter: "Maia, as my first born child, has been the joy of my, and her mother Shikiri’s, life.
"She came into our lives just as we had been both coming of age as adults and has been a continuing cherished presence for each of us.
"We are heartbroken and devastated by her loss."
No purpose of death was given.
ESPN, where Johnson works as an NFL analyst, launched a remark in toughen.
They wrote: "Our thoughts are with Keyshawn and his family as they deal with this unthinkable tragedy. He has the full support of his ESPN family."
Former ESPN colleague Jemele Hill mentioned she was once "very sorry for your loss".
Johnson and Maia's mom Shikiri Hightower had been married from 1998 to 2002.
They also proportion a son, Keyshawn Jr., who is 22.
In 2017, Shikiri shared a tale on Instagram for Maia's 22nd birthday.
She wrote: "We were so young, wanting nothing more than to be your parents.
"Four months later, your dad became the number one draft select, our lives were endlessly changed.
"My fearless, beautiful, intelligent, well-traveled, resourceful daughter... my mini-me.
"Throughout our journey, we literally were rising up, figuring existence out, together."

Johnson also has two kids with his wife Jennifer Conrad.
He was drafted first overall in 1996 by the New York Jets, and also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers during his NFL career.
He won a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay in 2003.
