Drew Allison Carey is well known as an American comic, actor, and game show host. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and making a name for himself in stand-up comedy, Carey won stardom in his sitcom, The Drew Carey Show, and as host of the U.S. model of the improv comedy display Whose Line Is It Anyway?, either one of which aired on ABC.

Carey was born on May 23, 1958, to Lewis and Beulah Carey and was once raised within the Old Brooklyn community of Cleveland, Ohio. When Drew was 8 years outdated, his father died from a heart assault. That led his mom to be a single mom.

Beulah Carey did various kinds of jobs as a single mother to strengthen her sons, Drew, Neal, and Roger, after the loss of life of their father. She used to be a keypunch operator for Bearings Inc., a receptionist and secretary for the Memphis Music Center, and a check processor for the Federal Reserve Bank, all in Cleveland. At one time, she labored within the packaging department of American Greetings.

Beulah died on the age of 79, on one Friday at the Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
